December is a wonderful month! As the festive season approaches, so
do the social activities among family and friends. Our Christmas
Ball is only two weeks away, followed by more events between
Christmas and New Year.
2007 has been a wonderful year thanks to
the support and energy that you have contributed to A Little Buenos
Aires activities.

A Little Buenos Aires proudly
presents Contango!
This group
of 14 talented musicians under the direction of Maggie Ferguson have performed in locations
including Government House, The Institute for International
Affairs, Parliament House, The Sydney Conservatorium of
Music and the A Little Buenos Aires milonga last July. We
welcome them back to the Russian Club at our Christmas Ball.

Argentine National Tango Day
December 11 is Argentina's National
Tango Day established in 1977 to commemorate the birthdays of
two tango celebrities, Carlos Gardel (the great iconic tango singer)
and Julio de Caro (distinguished orchestra director).

The Christmas Tango Ball is A
Little Buenos Aires' annual formal milonga. This years
special event exhibits tango artists in the form of both
musicians and dancers. Everyone is welcome!
The theme of this years Tango Ball is Glamorous Black
and White. Come along for a night of fun and
merriment!

this intimate gathering where we will view some rare tango footage
while indulging in some wine and cheese!There's so much to
learn and appreciate about Tango culture, so this Tango
Documentary Night is an opportunity to gain insight into
tango life and culture.
As we get inspired, we will play
music from our DJ's vast collection of tango songs for you
to dance the night away.
