BANDANEONIST - CAREL KRAAYENHOF

The Dutch bandaneonist Carel Kraayenhof is visiting Sydney in May 2008.

Recognised for his talent by maestro Astor Piazzolla, he was invited to play for him on the Broadway tango musical 'tango Apasionado' in 1987. Carel started his tango Sexteto Canyengue in 1988 and was invited by his other idol Osvaldo Pugliese to play with his sextet in Buenos Aires together with Pugliese's orchestra.

As part of the Latin American Nights presented by Sydney Symphony at the Opera House Concert Hall, Carel will be performing live with his signature intensity.

Tango Fire is touring Australia in June and July 2008. Consisting of ten Argentine tango singers, one of Argentina's finest singers and the quartet Quatrotango.

TANGO AT THE BLUE MOUNTAINS

The Tango band Altura will be playing at the Carrington Hotel, Blue Mountains on Saturday 5th April 2008.

Tickets are $45 and include Introductory tango lesson, glass of sangria, tapas, two course meal and tango show.

ALL NIGHT TANGO, MILONGA AND VALS

A Little Buenos Aires Milonga is a second home to Tangueros who just love to dance all night long. Non-stop dancing to a variety of Tango, Milonga and Vals, exclusively selected by our DJ.  This April, we have Yoshi as our guest DJ for the first hour of the night. Come early and be sure to enjoy the special ambience of A Little Buenos Aires!

NEW TANGO TECHNIQUE WORKSHOP

Learning the Tango is a journey. There are no shortcuts or quick fixes in tango, the quality of dance comes from many hours, days and years of loving to dance. To our group of Tango Performance students, we Congratulate you for your commitment and achievements!

AUSTRALIAN INTERNATIONAL TANGOFEST

The Australian International Tango Festival 2008 will take place on the 4th - 8th June.

NEW ZEALAND TANGO FESTIVAL

The 7th Annual Aerolinas Argentinas New Zealand Tango Festival will take place in Wellington from the 22nd - 25th May 2008.  The longest running Tango event in New Zealand will feature workshops, tango performances, live music, tango show and events.
