                                                                                                                                                        APRIL 2006

Dear tango enthusiasts,

It's nice to be aware of the world around us and to appreciate the value of life. This month, A Little Buenos Aires is supporting the fundraising efforts for the Philippines Mudslide relief programs. There is always a time and place to show how much you care.

On a lighter note, all our usual events will be "buzzing" this April. With new compilations for the 'Nuevo Tango Junction' and the 'Mi Buenos Aires' to keep your passion alive....

Mimi & Teddy

MAKE IT HAPPEN WITH PASSION AND DETERMINATION!

Introducing Michaele and Andrej the bride and groom to be at our Manly Studio.

A few weeks ago we met Andrej for his first private lesson. He surprised us with the news that he was to be married in three weeks time... but where was his fiancé? "Oh she lives in Canberra and won't be here till the week before the wedding".

Some people might consider learning a wedding dance in this short period of time as an impossible task... but not this determined couple.

Michaele arrived in Sydney this week, they chose a song and the dance was choreographed on the spot. They accomplished their mission with passion and determination.

Congratulations on your achievement!

MUDSLIDE CHARITY DANCE NIGHT

Did you hear about the tragic loss of life in the Philippines when a mudslide completely wiped out the remote village of Guinsaugon?

Philippine rescuers dig to search for more bodies trapped after a mudslide in the remote farming village of Guinsaugon, near Saint Bernard town in southern Leyte province, February 18, 2006. The village of 1,800 people was engulfed by a torrent of mud and rock when a rain-soaked mountain collapsed on homes and a crowded school.

A 'Mudslide Charity Dance Night' has been organised by Yoppy's Dance Group to raise funds for the mudslide victims. To play our part in supporting this relief mission, A Little Buenos Aires will be performing on the night. All proceeds from the ticket sales will be counted, announced on the night and donated to 'Caritas Australia International aid and development' to help these people rebuild their community. If you would like to join us in supporting this good cause, please contact Yoppy 0401 312 317.
