July Boleo Workshops & Milonga

Welcome to Nostalgia Tango Bar – your Sunday dose of tango music, dancing and socialising for tango enthusiasts!

Start the afternoon with the popular Workshop Series from 3pm (see July Topic below), followed by a friendly and casual Matinee Milonga 4pm welcoming dancers of all levels from across Sydney and beyond.

JULY Workshop Series topic: BOLEO – To do or not to do?

A Boleo is a whipping action that comes naturally when an ocho movement is quickly reversed. The woman’s free foot creates this free flowing spontaneous action. There are many variations of boleo – front, back, straight, circular, high and low depending on the energy and the social environment.

The July Boleo Workshop Series helps dancer understand the control and energy of the Boleo. A Boleo is a beautiful embellishment when done correctly and effortlessly.  It’s intent is be beautiful but can also be a ‘killer’ move if it’s done without understanding and control. To do or not to do? Find out at this upcoming July Workshop Series.
