Mimi |
Tango is our ultimate passion
because of its explicit beauty, sensitivity, powerful and
artistic qualities. It is very much based on human nature and
instinct towards music. Because of this, everyone projects their
own personality. The more you learn tango, the more you learn
about yourself and the people around you.
Tango's humble beginnings has
taught us to be modest because tango is a journey in which we
are forever learning. For this reason, we have dedicated
ourselves to pass on the knowledge and experience that we have
accumulated over the years from tango maestros.
Philosophy:
We believe that every individual is equally unique. Our goal is
to bring the best out of each and every individual. |

Testimonials:
"There are a lot of things to be
grateful for but one of the things is to have met you both. As
an Argentinean and Porteno I feel honour that you people who
come from a country so far away from Buenos Aires and with a
very different culture, still love the TANGO and dance it so
well…" Oscar Coca, Buenos Aires.
"I would like to emphasise with
great humbleness this great dancing couple of the greatest dance
called Tango. Just to watch them show their souls. From the
bottom of my heart and a great appreciation" Mar Del Plata,
Buenos Aires, Argentina.
"Thanks for your skilful training
in advanced tango. Your dual teaching is very helpful and such a
pleasant experience. Obviously this dance is not just about
choreography and technique but emotional involvement in the
experience. Love to you both." Terry
Kirkpatrick, Sydney
"I enjoy that fact that you are so
thorough in your teaching style, giving many technique details.
You are generous with your time and information and I love the
music and the performance of the tango dance and look forward to
reaching a level of ability to show my own finesse." Emily,

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS |
|
Q: What makes Tango different?
A: Today, the Argentine Tango is an intimate dance that exudes
elegance and musicality embraced throughout the world by people from all
walks of life. Sometimes it is a dance of passion, romance and love… and
other times it can be a reflection of emptiness, pain or struggle. |
|
Q: When was ‘A Little Buenos Aires’ established?
A: In July of 2000 - Tango in Sydney! Another piece of tango in Australia. |
|
Q: How did you come up with the name ‘A Little Buenos Aires’?
A: As a Tango lover, Buenos Aires feels like home to me. It was a strong sense of belonging. It is a city where you will find explicit emotions. You see Tango in the streets, you hear the
tango music everywhere, this is the place where people live and breathe Tango. It was impossible for me to leave without taking a little bit of Buenos Aires home to Sydney with me.
We began by establishing a Milonga in Sydney in July 2000 and have grown to
encompass a range of tango services and tango events. |
|
Q: What is your dream?
A: To firstly re-create the atmosphere for people in Sydney to share
the true essence of Tango as if it is in Buenos Aires.
Secondly, to bring together friends from all walks of life who share sentimental feelings towards Tango. In our busy lifestyles we must remember to value relationships, friendships and our true self. Through Tango, we release our emotions, reconnect with our spirit and express our inner self.
Today A Little Buenos Aires creates opportunities
for people to experience tango in Sydney through its weekly tango classes,
weekly and monthly tango milongas (tango social events), specialty tango
workshops and events. |
|
Q: What does Tango mean to you?
A: To me Tango is more than a dance. In Tango you learn to connect, to improvise and be aware of your partner’s existence. So as in life, if we try to relate and better understand others, wouldn’t the world be a better place?
